We learned today, Destiny 2 on PC will run through Blizzard’s Battle.net platform.
“We’re not committed to a PC date yet, but at Bungie we’re totally committed to making a PC build as great as we can,” Smith said in an interview with IGN. “Our partnership with Blizzard and being on Battle.net, we want to make sure that this version of the game has the time it needs to bake in the oven so it’s a delicious piece of bread when it comes out.”
Smith said that we might get some further clue as to when the PC version will launch in the “coming weeks,” but there’s no telling if we’ll get an exact date then or not.
In addition to the Smith’s statements, Activision reveled a fact sheet today stating that the PC version of Destiny 2 will support resolutions up to 4K and ship with an unlocked framerate. It is also being developed with full keyboard and mouse support, with custom key mapping; adjustable field of view settings; 21:9 monitor support; and resolution up to 3820×2160.
