Publisher 704 Games revealed today that stock-car racing is coming back to PS4, Xbox One, and PC this fall with NASCAR Heat 2, the sequel to last year’s Heat Evolution.
Launching on September 12, NASCAR Heat 2 is in development at Monster Games. The game features a variety of improvements over last year’s installment. There will be “enhanced online multiplayer, a deeper career mode, track updates, [and] additional drivers,” according to a press release.
“This new game will have a very different look and an enhanced overall experience that reflects the insights of actual NASCAR drivers,” Paul Brooks, the 704Games CEO, said in a statement. “Over the coming months, we’ll announce additional new features that we believe will really excite our fans.”
In partnership with Toyota, 704Games will once again hold a cover athlete competition. They will name a cover star for NASCAR Heat 2 after the Monster Energy All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 20.
